<p>Transference of a writing tool (30) carried by the writing head (10) of the machine to a free site in the storage carousel is carried out by bringing the writing head (10) carrying the writing tool (30) into the transfer position, engaging the writing tool (30) in the site of the storage device by a tool-lowering movement (30), and disengaging the writing tool (30) from the writing head (10) by displacing the latter away from the transfer position. Transference of a writing tool (30) from a site of the storage device to the writing head (10) is carried out by engaging the writing tool (30) onto the writing head (10) by bringing the latter into the transfer position, disengaging the writing tool (30) from its site in the storage device by a tool-raising movement (30), and displacing the writing head (10) away from the transfer position. Thus, transference of the tool (30) is carried out solely by a combination of the tool (30) lowering and raising movements (Z), and of the displacing of the writing head (10) along the direction (Y) in which the latter is normally displaced in order to produce lines on a print medium. <IMAGE></p> |
