PURPOSE:To obtain a printed picture without the deterioration of picture quality by generating an optimum sampling clock according to the type of an input video signal. CONSTITUTION:A first sampling clock generating means 4 to phase-lock to a color burst signal and to generate integer multiple clock of a color sub- carrying wave frequency, and second sampling clock generating means 5 to phase-lock a horizontal synchronizing signal and to generate integer multiple clock of a horizontal synchronizing signal frequency are provided. Thereafter, when the input of either an NTSC signal having the color burst signal or a luminance signal/a chrominance signal is selected, the first sampling clock generating means 4 is used, and when the input of either an RGB signal or a component signal such as the luminance signal/a color difference signal is selected, the second sampling clock generating means 5 is used by switching both the sampling clock generating means 4 and 5 with a switch 7 respectively. Thus, the printed picture without any color dislocation can be obtained for a composite signal, and a straight line can be correctly reproduced in a vertical direction for the component signal. |
