Organic oxidants and radical traps for negative-working silver halide emulsions

Small amounts of radical traps resorcylaldehyde oxime and 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl and organic oxidants 2-chloro-5-nitrobenzylchloride, p-nitro-o-chlorobenzyl thiosulfate and 2-(p-nitrobenzyl)thiopyridinium bromide reduce the fog and stabilize the aging of medical X-ray emulsion with little or no effect on speed.
