PURPOSE:To increase the installation capability and durability of a fuel cell and to increase power generating efficiency by horizontally arranging cylinder- shaped cells on a frame having a required load strength, and utilizing spaces between frames as an air passage. CONSTITUTION:The required number of cylinder shaped cells 2 are horizontally arranged on a frame 12 having a required load strength. A fuel cell is formed these unit cells arranged in length and breadth. The installation capability is increased compared with the vertical arrangement of the cells. The frame 12 has sufficient strength for supporting cells and spaces 13 are utilized as an air passage. Since air is preheated by reaction heat diffused from cells 2, reaction efficiency is increased. The frame 12 is saved from strength drop caused by reaction heat and its durability is increased. |
