PURPOSE:To increase combustion efficiency by controlling an air inlet damper and a dehumidifying spray nozzle by oxygen concentration difference in combustion gas before and after it passes between plates. CONSTITUTION:Combustion gas produced with a burner 1 is passed between negative plates in a basket 8 with a blower 2, cooled with a dehumidifying spray nozzle 4, dehumidified with a demister 6 to control the moisture content in the plates, and heated again with the burner 1 for circulation. This first drying process decreases the ratio of air to gas to retard the oxidation of a negative electrode. When the oxygen concentration difference reaches 1%, that is, the moisture content in the negative plate is reduced to 3wt.%, the first drying process is finished. Then, the ratio of air to gas is increased by using oxygen concentration difference to dry the electrodes by the complete combustion of gas, and the dehumidifying nozzle 4 is closed. Since the humidity in the gas is not removed in the second drying process, heat efficiency is increased. |
