A high-frequency capacitive heating electrode device comprises a cap-shaped electrode (12), a flexible support (11) for supporting the electrode (12) with one end thereof capped with the electrode (12), a flexible polymer film (14) which surrounds the electrode and forms a gastight space (13) between the support (11) and the flexible polymer film (14), and passages (15,16) for respectively introducing and discharging a cooling medium to and from the gastight space (13). The high-frequency capacitive heating electrode device is disposed in the vicinity of the target portion of a living body to be heated and is useful for the hyperthermia therapy for a cancer of the uterine cervix.
