PURPOSE:To prevent a drop in charge-discharge efficiency and a deterioration in storage performance by using 3 specified compound as a solvent of an electrolyte in a secondary battery in which a conductive polymer is used in at least one electrode. CONSTITUTION:A sulfolane compound as shown in the formula and gamma- butyrolactone are mixed in the volume ratio of 3:2-1:1 and used as the solvent of an electrolyte. In the formula, R is lower alkyl group in which the number of carbon is 1-3. A conductive polymer used in an electrode is polypyrrole or polyaniline. By this constitution, since the decomposition voltage of the electrolyte is raised, even if the cut-off voltage is somewhat heightened by the increase of charge capacity, a drop in charge-discharge efficiency and a deterioration in storage performance are prevented. In addition, since charge- discharge voltage is somewhat lowered, the corrosion ot a battery container is prevented and the decomposition of the electrolyte is retarded. |
