COMPOSITION OF MOLDING SAND BINDER FOR LIGHT ALLOY

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the collapsing property of a casting mold after charging of a molten metal and to improve a shelf life by incorporating a saccharide into a specific resin emulsion thereby preparing a molding sand binder. CONSTITUTION:A resol type phenolic resin emulsion and 10-100pts.wt. water soluble saccharide by 100pts.wt. solid content of said resin emulsion are incorporated to prepare a molding sand binder, by which the collapsing property of a casting mold after charging of a molten metal therein is improved. It is preferred in terms of strength and performance to use the saccharide by a method of adding the same to the resin emulsion in the stage of preparing said emulsion.
