摘要 PURPOSE:To restrain the noise of a belt from being intensive as well as to prevent sediments and the like from coming into a belt chamber by forming the timing belt chamber of an engine while keeping a gap in spaced relation with an engine main body, and forming an inlet port and an exhaust port in the inner side wall. CONSTITUTION:A belt chamber 16 is formed on the side surface of both cylinder units 11 and 12 and a crank case 10, which contains a timing belt 15a and pulleys 22, 24 through 25, is formed while keeping a gap A in spaced relation with the side wall of the cylinder units 11 and 12. And an inlet port 27a is formed in the side section of the cylinder wall 11 for the inner cover 17 of the belt chamber 16 in such a way as to face the gap A, and an exhaust fan 34 and an exhaust port 34b are arranged in the side section of the cylinder unit 12. when the blasting vanes 34c of the exhaust fan 34 are rotated, outside air is sucked into the belt chamber 16 from the inlet port 17a through the gap A so as to cool the timing belt 25a for letting air be exhausted to the gap A from the exhaust port 34b thereafter.
