PURPOSE:To enable an electromagnetic safety valve to be positively closed when a flame failure occurs and prevent a discharging of raw gas by a method wherein the electromagnetic safety valve is pressed from a position over an intermediate position of a pushing operating lever to its terminal end position and opened. CONSTITUTION:A pushing operating lever 11a is provided with a push-push mechanism 17 for use in performing a pushing operation from a starting end position A to a terminal end position through an intermediate position C, engaging with it at an intermediate position C returning from a terminal end position B to the starting position A, and returning it to the starting end position A through a re-pressing operation from said intermediate position C, and an opening or closing valve 4 installed in a gas supplying passage 3 communicating with a burner 2 is opened at the intermediate position C of the operating lever 11a. With this arrangement, the electromagnetic safety valve 5 controlled by a flame sensor 8 detecting a pressure or an absence of the flame is installed in said gas supplying passage 3 in series with said opening or closing valve 4. The electromagnetic safety valve 5 is pressed to be opened through its pressing operation from a position over the intermediate position C of the pressing operating lever 11a to the terminal end position B. In this way, in case that an ignition of the gas burner 2 is failed or in case that a flame failure occurs during combustion, the electromagnetic safety valve 5 can be positively closed. |
