<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the sheet feeding performance by supporting a separator member through a spring, and varying the overlapping amount of the sheet feed roller with separator member during a cut sheet getting over the separator from that before getting over. CONSTITUTION:A separator boss 30 is borne by a spring 31 and overlapped with a sheet feed roller 2 in a dimension H. The uppermost one 1a of the cut sheets is transported with rotational friction force of the feed roller 2, and the protrusion is in the overlapping amount H before getting over the separator boss 30, so that the force of getting over is large, and the double feed preventive effect is great. On the way of the sheet 1a getting over the separator boss 30, the returning force of the sheet 1a retracts the separator boss 30 against the action of spring 31. That is, the overlapping amount H is decreased. Thus the sheet feed transporting power is increased, and both functions of sheet feed transporting power and double feed prevention are exerted simultaneously.</p> |
