<p>A fishing weir for use in the ocean comprises tubular support means forming at least a major portion of the perimeter of the weir. The tubular support means is adapted to float on the surface of the ocean and to support the fishing weir. Fish netting is attached to the tubular support means to form the walls of the weir. An inlet chute is formed in the walls of the weir. The walls of the chute are attached to the walls of the weir. The chute extends into the weir and is adapted for the passage of fish into the weir. Weights are attached to the fish netting.</p> |
