Apparatus for mixing gas into liquid comprises an outer tube spaced by an air flow gap from a motor-drivien inner tube having a section projecting beyond the outer tube, and carrying a propeller of such high pitch as not to generate vortices above it. The apparatus operates inclined at an acute angle to the horizontal, with an inner tube air inlet at lower level than the propeller.
