PURPOSE:To simplify the wirings for mounting an IC into a printed circuit board and realize high assembling density by providing the PROM which assures free programming of connection between the input/output terminals of function circuit and terminal pins of package within an IC chip. CONSTITUTION:In case a diode breakdown type PROM made conductive through breakdown of the one D2 among the diodes D1, D2 connected in series reversely by applying an over-voltage is used, for example, when the diodes D2 given by the hatched circles are turned conductive through breakdown, the input/output terminal A' terminal pin D, input/output terminal B' terminal pin A, input/ output terminal C' terminal pin C, input/output terminal pin B are respectively connected and it can be freely set to which terminals among A-P the input/ output terminals A'-P' should be connected. Therefore, the terminal position of IC should be set so that the wirings are most simplified, considering the relative position with the other components and connection relation in the mounting of IC into the printed circuit board. |
