PURPOSE:To process a reply packet processed by a packet to be tested by sending a test packet from a test port means, processing the packet to be tested by a port means to be tested, and returning the result again via a switch means. CONSTITUTION:A test port section 24 is connected to a control module 20 via a switch section 21 for the connection to the port section to be tested by the test command from a test means such as a test center or a test use input/ output device. The information required for call processing is sent from the test port section 24 to the control module 20 in a form of packet. The control module 20 analyzes the information and when the connection destination is the port section 22, an instruction to connect the test port section 24 and the port section 22 is issued to the switch section 21. When the test port section 24 and the port section 22 are connected via the switch section 21, a test packet is sent from the test port section 24 to the port section 22. Thus, the reply packet processed by the packet to be tested is processed.
