PURPOSE:To make package of said carbon fiber, in which many filaments are wound simultaneously in a large quantity without fear of out of alignment in winding, by setting the hardness of winding at 50-85 deg. and variation of mean hardnesses of packages at 5% or below. CONSTITUTION:Two or more bobbins are installed on a spindle 1, which is driven directly by a drive motive 2 such as torque motor, and filaments are wound up round them while given traverse motion by a traverse guide of traverse cam box 4. Thus packages 3 are formed. Here the surface of winding is made even by a touch roller 5, which is in free rotation and is pressed to the surfaces of packages 3 by a spring. The gap between this touch roller 5 and thread layer's surface of each package 3 is set at 2mm. or below while its variation at 0.2mm. or below, and thereby the variation of the tensions of packages 3 can be suppressed to 10% or below as well as the variation of mean hardnesses in winding of different packages to 5% or below. |
