<p>PURPOSE: To attain cost reduction and easy assembly and repair by involving a latch engagement position for sufficient engagement and an extreme disengagement position for disengagement, and including a stationary member, an engaging member, and a releasing member. CONSTITUTION: When a latch mechanism 10 is mounted on a latch engagement position, a stationary member 20 is mounted between side columns 44. When the latch mechanism is oscillated to an extreme disengagement position, an engaging member 60 is positioned between the side columns 44. To detach the latch mechanism 10 from a header, a release member 40 is actuated by applying a disengaging force to the release member 40 in the downward direction. A lip-shaped part 88 on the engaging member 60 is aligned with the foot part 80 of the stationary member 20, the release member 40 is then rotated so as to oscillate relative to the stationary member 20. The engaging member 60 is pivoted on the stationary member 20, resulting in a cam action between the lip-shaped part 88 and the foot part 38, thereby causing a keeper 70 to be detached from the header at the extreme disengagement position.</p> |
