PURPOSE:To control the temperature of a superconductive field winding in optimum at all times, by controlling the opening of a flow rate control valve provided halfway through a cooling medium pipeline in accordance with the initial state quantity to affect the cooling of the superconductive field winding. CONSTITUTION:Halfway through a cooling medium pipeline 2 connected to a superconductive generator rotor 1 a flow rate control valve 3 is provided. The quantity of supply of cooling medium is adjusted by a control device 3 to change the opening of the control valve 3 with the change of state quantities to affect the cooling of a superconductive field winding 4. The cooling medium gets into a superconductive field winding room 7 through an inlet coupling 6 of a rotor 1 and the vaporized cooling medium is exhausted outside the rotor 1 through an outlet coupling 8 to get into a cooler 9. |
