PURPOSE: To remove a volatile substance by conveying a molten material independently of the pressure prevailing in a reaction extruder by a forced feed mechanism, thereby using one separate volatilizing tank as a treating unit. CONSTITUTION: An outlet end 3 of a reaction extruder 1 is connected to a gear pump 4 operating as a forced feed mechanism. A blending extruder 2 is connected to its inlet side 6 at its end 3 via a melt line 5. A first removable discharging means 7 is provided in its first region, and simultaneously operated as an expanding unit. Further, a discharge pipe 8 is provided to remove a volatile substance. The discharge means is constituted as a distilling means. A condensable substance of the expanding unit 7 and a condensable substance of the pipe 8 can be mixed, and fed back toward the reaction extruder together with a monomer mixture. An outlet end 10 of the extruder 2 can extrude a finished polymer in a shape of string, abnormal state or sheet material. |
