The invention relates to an insulator which can be fixed to all kinds of electric-fencing posts, to the flat, rounded parts and also to the corners 3 of wooden posts by virtue of its 90 DEG undercut 1 by means of two pins (spikes) or screws 2. The insulator can also be fixed to iron posts of any diameter by virtue of this 90 DEG undercut 1 and at any height on the posts. The insulator is fixed by means of an attachment passing into the 3 mm-diameter hole located in its middle 4. the invention also relates to the system for attaching the electric wire which, by means of a slightly elastic tongue 5 on the front part of the insulator, enables the wire to be attached by means of a chamfer 6 into its housing 8. By means of this device the wire can be easily removed, as required, without being damaged. <IMAGE>
