PURPOSE:To obtain an image having good reproducibility of fine lines by using a developer contg. particles subjected to a conducting treatment and impressing the bias contg. AC between a photosensitive body and a developing device, thereby executing one-component contactless development. CONSTITUTION:An adequate edge effect is developed and the reproducibility of the fine lines is improved by incorporating a toner which consists of an insulating resin and coloring material and is subjected to the conducting treatment on the surface under the base particles into the developer, impressing the bias contg. the AC between the photosensitive body 15 and a developing sleeve 14 and moving the toner back and forth between the photosensitive body 15 and the developing sleeve 14. The structure of such toner contains the capsule toner which has the base particles and at least >=1 kinds of the layers covering the base particles and has the specific resistance of the surface layers smaller than the specific resistance of the base particles and at least >=1 kinds of the other toners. The specific resistance of the capsule toner is specified to <=10<10>OMEGAcm and the specific resistance of the other toners is specified to >=10<10>OMEGAcm in this case. The image having the good reproducibility of the fine lines is thereby obtd. |
