STILL PICTURE TRANSMISSION DEVICE

PURPOSE:To recognize the status of a monitored area quicker than a conventional communication speed by transmitting the newest rough picture while transmitting a sharp picture and displaying the both on a display device simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:A sharp transmission data is extracted from a picture data stored in a video memory 31 and also a rough transmission data is extracted from a picture data stored in video memories 32, 33, the rough transmission data is incorporated during the transmission of the sharp transmission data by a signal processing circuit 4 and the resulting data is sent from a transmission circuit 5. A signal processing circuit 7 of a still picture receiver separates the sharp transmission data and the rough transmission data, the sharp transmission data is stored in a memory 141 and the rough transmission data is stored in memories 142 and 143. The sharp picture is displayed on the entire display screen of a display device 10 and the rough picture is displayed on the screen occupying part of the area.
