PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of a facility by stopping an IC which has a transmission type and a nontransmission type hollow crescent part indicating the direction of sliding on a guide rail in contact with a stylus provided to an IC stopper. CONSTITUTION:When the IC slides along the guide rail 3, the IC stops by abutting on the stylus 5 of the IC stopper 4. This stop position changes according to whether or not the IC faces in the direction of the insertion of the stylus 5 into the crescent part 11 of the IC. This stop position is detected by a position detection part 7 and a position detection part 8 and a direction decision part 9 compares detection signals from both position detection parts to decide the direction of the IC. Thus, the IC is made abut on the stylus 5 provided to the IC stopper 4 and then the same device detects an IC having the transmission type crescent part 11 and an IC having the nontransmission type crescent part. |
