To produce pure oxygen from air, the plant comprises three adsorption lines 1, 2, 3, each comprising an adsorber Z1, Z2, Z3 loaded with zeolite molecular sieve and an adsorber C1, C2, C3 loaded with carbon molecular sieve. In the case of each line, the cycle comprises a stage of simultaneous adsorption on the two adsorbers in series and then, the two adsorbers being isolated: in the case of the first adsorber, a countercurrent desorption, then a countercurrent recompression by means of the gas originating from the first adsorber of another line in an adsorption stage; and in the case of the second adsorber, a countercurrent desorption providing the output gas, then a concurrent recompression by means of gas originating from the second adsorber of another line in an adsorption stage. <IMAGE>
