<p>PURPOSE:To accurately transmit blood pressure by preventing that the pulse of a patient is amplified to become abnormal pressure, by providing a passage having a diameter smaller than that of each of the mutually crossed T-shape passages which are formed to a multi-way type cock main body, to the cock main body. CONSTITUTION:The blood pressure of a patient is introduced into a cock type pressure transmitting apparatus 20 from a catheter 24, a tube 22 and a flash device 18 through a physiological saline solution being a transmission medium. At this time, even when the resonance phenomenon caused by the pulse of the patient is generated in the flexible tube 22, the operation of the medium for transmitting vibration is limited in a process wherein vibration is propagated from a passage 46a to a through-hole 50 because the diameter of a flow passage becomes suddenly narrow and vibration is weakened by the through-hole 50 and not transmitted to the downstream area of the through-hole 50. Therefore, only the blood pressure of the patient is transmitted to the diaphragm constituting a pressure detector 26. As a result, the substantial blood pressure detected by the diaphragm is converted to an electric signal by a pressure transducer 32 to be introduced into a display device 34 and an accurate blood pressure waveform is displayed on the display device 34.</p> |
