PURPOSE:To increase silica ratio of produced zeolite and to improve solid acid strength, heat resistance, and acid resistance of the product by adding a specified transparent liquid substance contg. alkali silicate and alkali aluminate previously to a starting material mixture comprised of silica and alumina. CONSTITUTION:Transparent liquid substance is obtd. by aging a mixture of aq. alkali silicate, aq. alkali aluminate, and aq. alkali hydroxide. The product is added to a mixture of the starting materials comprised of a silica source, alumina source, and alkali source. The mixture is heated and crystallized to obtain faujasite type zeolite having high silica content and >=4.5 molar ratio of SiO2 to Al2O3.
