PURPOSE: To improve lubricating performance by, in a structure where an orbiting scroll member is orbited via a drive bushing and a crank pin by the rotation of a crank shaft, tilting a driven surface of the drive bushing to from a predetermined angle with respect to the center axis of the crank shaft. CONSTITUTION: A scroll compressor 10 has a scroll assembly including a non- orbiting scroll member 20 and an orbiting scroll member 22. The orbiting scroll member 22 is orbited via a crank pin 24 extending from the upper end of a crankshaft 14 driven by a motor. A drive bushing 42 is journalled in a hub 32 for driving the orbital scroll. In this case, the drive bushing 42 comprises an outer periphery 48 rotatably engaging a journal 34, a flat portion 50, an axial notch 52 axially aligned with the flat portion 50, and a central bore 54. The central bore 54 is oval in cross-section, and a portion of the central bore has a driven surface 56 which is tilted to form a small acute angle with respect to the center axis of a peripheral plane 48. |
