Wheel cap with a cover surface on which a plurality of locking elements which are arranged on a circle at a distance from one another and can be locked axially into a wheel rim with a locking cam are provided and are supported with their insides on a spring steel ring which is common to all locking elements. In order to obtain a secure seat on the rim and to make it easy to mount without the locking elements being damaged, the spring steel ring is arranged between the locking cam and the surface of the wheel cap and extends exclusively in one plane. At the location of the spring steel ring, a further cam which acts against the wheel rim is provided on the locking element.
