The invention relates to a clamping (latch) fastener (16) having mutually facing end pieces (18, 20). A flattened segment (10) of the boom head (4) is inserted between these end pieces (18, 20). Located in the two end pieces (18, 20) is an axis (30) of rotation, e.g. a screw, which is plugged into the boom head (4) through an opening (14a). Retaining heads (32, 34) are mounted on the mutually averted sides (18A, 20A) of the end pieces (18, 20). Said retaining heads serve to fasten a clamping rope (36) which wraps around the mast (6) twice, at least partially. The connecting line (37) of the two retaining heads (32, 34) lies outside the centre line of the axis (30) of rotation. The device operates in the manner of a toggle fastener (clamp). <IMAGE>
