PURPOSE:To smooth the surface of a magnet, and to apply favorable engaging character, as well providing sufficient shock resistance and wearproof property, by a method wherein a metal film is applied by electric plating to the whole or a part of the circumferential face of the permanent magnet of an engaging tool, thereby the permanent magnet and a ferromagnetic metal plate are made in one body. CONSTITUTION:A magnet 1 is immersed in the aiming plating bath, and the metal film 1a having thickness of at least 1mum or more is laminatedly formed on the surface of the magnet 1 thereof under the electrolytic condition agreeing the purpose. By forming the metal film 1a being enough to produce surface strength thereof, the ferrite magnet, is fixed surely to a ferromagnetic metal plate 2, while impact fracture at the magnet 1 having fragility is negated, and surface fretting scratch resistance and wearproof property are enhanced remarkably. The luster and the color tone of the surface are improved, and the surface roughness of the magnet 1 is eliminated to negate the generation of permeation, stain, etc., due to the surface roughness thereof. |
