Method for reducing the programme cycle times, especially in domestic washing machines

In known washing machines, in a laundry-loosening phase the laundry articles are newly distributed by means of laundry-correcting cycles, so as to reduce the laundry unbalance, during the spinning programme before the actual spin-up. The duration of the laundry-loosening phase is the same for all types of laundry, loading quantities or washing programmes and is often needlessly long. The object of the invention is to adapt the number of laundry-correcting cycles to the abovementioned parameters and thereby reduce the entire washing-programme cycle time. The number of laundry-correcting cycles which is stored in the electronic programme-control unit is linked logically to the keys of the input keyboard and to the programme sector, so that a highly specific number of laundry-correcting cycles is assigned to each type of laundry, loading quantity and spinning programme. The method is suitable for optimising the programme time in domestic washing machines. <IMAGE>
