In the case of a device for corona-discharge treatment of material webs, which device comprises a carrier electrode (1), which carries the material web (3) to be treated, and a corona-discharge electrode (2) which is mounted in a holder, the cross-section of the corona-discharge electrode (2) is selected to be approximately circular or in the form of a circle which is flattened like a segment, and the corona-discharge electrode (2) is mounted on a shaft (6) on the holder (5) such that it can rotate, and retaining brackets (7) in the form of arcs partially engage around it and support it on the outside. In consequence, in the event of damage to the discharge line in use, to be able to bring a completely effective discharge line into use again by short rotation of the corona-discharge electrode (2). In the case of a corona electrode (2) which is flattened in the form of a segment, a corresponding rotation can also be used for temporarily interrupting the corona-discharge treatment. <IMAGE>
