Sealing cuff of a flexible material for a catheter guide piece, characterised in that it comprises a cylindrical sleeve separated into two identical half-shells with a first lip seal on the side near the patient, a second lip seal on the side remote from the patient and a chamber between the lip seals. The first lip seal is formed by a conically tapering extension of the sleeve having a central round passage opening with a sharp-edged rim and the second lip seal is formed by the rounded rim of a central passage opening in a front wall terminating the sleeve. <IMAGE>
