A drive-in anchor has a shaft (44) which, at its front end, passes into an axially slit expansion region with a plurality of expansion legs (47). The expansion legs (47) can be widened via an expansion body (51) which can be driven into the expansion region. The expansion body (71) has a cylindrical part (54) which is provided, at its rear end, with an outwardly deformable collar (60). When the anchor is driven in, the collar (60) is deformed to produce an annular bead, with the result that the expansion body (51) is riveted and is secured before it folds out of the expansion region. <IMAGE>
