Dual-chamber containers for foods, in particular yoghourt and a cereal preparation, are known, in which the cereal preparation located in a small chamber can be poured into a large chamber (2), in which the yoghourt is located, by pivoting the small chamber about a web (5). It is disadvantageous in the known container that, on the one hand, great effort is required and that, on the other hand, some of the cereal preparation can be tipped out under unfavourable circumstances. In order to facilitate the handling and, in particular, the emptying of the small chamber (3) into the large chamber (2) of the dual-chamber container (1), the side of the large chamber (3) facing the small chamber is designed to be recessed in a U-shape, the small chamber being of cylindrical design, and lateral limbs (9, 10) of the chamber side (8) recessed in a U-shape furthermore laterally bounding the small chamber (3). The dual-chamber container is used for packaging yoghourt and other dairy products to which a cereal mixture or the like is to be added prior to eating. <IMAGE>
