FILTER BODY AND PRODUCTION OF MATERIAL THEREOF

PURPOSE: To filter fine particles of aerosols, etc., by forming a filter body by at least one steel foil and providing the steel foil 2 with an oxide coating layer contg. a columnar and/or plate-shaped oxides. CONSTITUTION: The filter body is formed by at least one steel foil 2 and the steel foil 2 is provided with the oxide coating layer 3 contg. the columnar and/or plate-shaped oxides 4 and pores 1. The filter body effectively filters solid particles having mainly a diameter below 5μm and fluid. Such filter body may be formed by disposing the oxide coating layer 3 contg. the columnar and/or plate-shaped oxides 4 in at least the pores 1 and around the pores 1 on the porous steel foil 2 in order to filter the solid particles having mainly the diameter below 5μm from the fluid flowing therein.
