The invention concerns a procedure and equipment for the production of hot-pressed and heat-hardened wood-fibre boards 9. The raw wood is shredded to fibres under steam, with separate widening of the different layers in a wood- fibre board. The wood-fibre material is then dried in a first drying stage and afterwards separated from the drying gas, after which it is mixed with binders at different hardening temperatures for the different layers. The mixtures of wood-fibre material and binder are then dried in a further drying stage at a temperature which is lower than the binder's hardening temperature, which temperature is controlled by the tempering of the drying gas. The mixtures are then dry-formed to the wood- fibre board material, hot-pressed and heat-hardened. Using such a method, premature heat-hardening of the binder is prevented; and, at the same time, binder quantities and power consumption requirements are reduced. <IMAGE> |
