PURPOSE:To obtain a recording image having excellent image quality by provid ing a release layer composed of a specific composition on an image receiving layer. CONSTITUTION:A release layer consisting of amino modified silicone oil and an aldehyde compound is provided on the image receiving layer of an image receiving sheet for thermal transfer recording receiving a transfer image from a color transfer sheet. The amino modified silicone oil is prepared by introducing an amino group into silicone oil represented by a dimethylpolysiloxane skeletal by chemically modifying said oil and terminal reactive silicone oil represented by formula I is especially pref. used in order to impart a surface having excellent physical strength. As the aldehyde compound, a compound reacting with an amino group to form a crosslinking bond is used but glyoxal excellent in crosslinking reactivity, acting effect and paint stability is pref. used. The use amount of the aldehyde compound is generally about 0.001-10%, pref. about 0.2-5% with respect to amino modified silicone oil. |
