<p>PURPOSE:To prevent lap tips from interfering with the bottom surface of an end plate due to strains in scroll members by letting the lap tips be suitably spaced against the bottom surface of the end plate of the scroll members in the opposite side. CONSTITUTION:Within a range starting from a scroll end section 6n to a position 6p on the lap bottom surface in the inside of the circumference of one winding against the outer circumferential surface 6k of the end plate of a revolving scroll 6, the groove depth in a bottom surface 6d is set deep enough to be hs. At the center section of the lap in the inside of the position 6p, the groove depth of the lap is set to be increased by hd which is about to times as deep as hs. Owing to this constitution, when assembled, there exists a gap equal to the difference in level in the axial direction above the tip end face of the lap at the center section of the end plate section. However, when a compressor is started so as to be actually in operation, the actual gap above the tip end face section in the axial direction is minimized due to the deformation of a stationary scroll 5.</p> |
