A supporting element which can be inserted between two bones consists of an outer case and of a bellows which can be inserted therein, is filled with a fluid and, in the inserted and filled state, projects beyond both ends of the case. A supporting element of this type has a simple structure and adapts itself well to uneven surfaces.
