PURPOSE: To eliminate the organic solvent of a coating liquid in the production of a pressure-activatible lift-off correction tape by composing a removing layer of butyl rubber, wax and a dispersent being dispersed into an aqueous medium at a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION: The removing layer of a correction tape is formed using a coating liquid containing 5-35 wt.% of butyl rubber, 30-90 wt.% of wax, and 0.1-5 wt.% of dispersent having a dispersing action in an aqueous medium for the aforementioned substances. These material exists especially in an aqueous medium containing no organic solvent up to about 65 wt.% especially in the range of 40-60 wt.%. When such a pressure-activatible lift-off correction tape is employed, ordinary carrier and a typed or printed type image can be removed.
