PURPOSE:To easily connect head elements and an external part by electrically connecting plural conductive layers to the coil of the head element, and simultaneously, extending one part of the layers up to the surface of a head substrate except the surface opposite to a magnetic recording medium. CONSTITUTION:Plural conductive layers 12a and 12b to be individually and electrically connected only to both edges of coil conductors 7a and 7b of head elements 2 and 3 formed on a head substrate 1 are formed on the head substrate 1. One part of the layers are exposed by being extended up to the surface of the head substrate 1 except the surface opposite to the magnetic recording medium, and to respective exposing edge surfaces of the conductive layers 12a and 12b, conductors 10a and 10b for transmitting electric signals with the external part are connected. Thus, the electric signals can be easily extracted from the head elements 2 and 3 to the external part. |
