PURPOSE:To obtain the title copolymer having a specific amount of portions insoluble in boiling xylene and excellent processability, by copolymerizing ethylene with an acrylic acid ester and the third component capable of crosslinking reaction and partially crosslinking the resultant polymer with a crosslinking agent while heating in the presence of a shearing force. CONSTITUTION:The aimed copolymer, obtained by copolymerizing (A) 50-85mol% ethylene with (B) 50-15mol% acrylic acid ester (e.g., methyl acrylate) and (C) the third component (e.g., glycidyl methacrylate) in an amount of 0-8 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. both components (A) and (B) to provide an amorphous copolymer and partially crosslinking the resultant copolymer with a crosslinking agent at a temperature as high as 180 deg.C in the presence of a shearing force and containing 5-90wt.% portions of the copolymer insoluble in boiling xylene. |
