INFORMATION RECORDING CARRIER

PURPOSE:To simultaneously form information tracks and hologram at the time of producing an information recording carrier and to effectively utilize the surface area by providing the hologram formed with interference fringes corresponding to the wave front of the light from an object by a rugged layer on the surface between the information tracks of the information recording carrier. CONSTITUTION:The informations AT and the rugged layer HT of the hologram formed with the interference fringes corresponding to the wave fronts of the light from the object between the information tracks AT by the rugged layer are provided on the flat disk-shaped reproduction-only information recording carrier 1. Said tracks and hologram are so constituted that the ratio of the depth L1 between the information tracks AT and the depth H2 of the rugged layer HT of the hologram attains H1/H2>=5. A reflecting metallic film 3 is provided on the surface thereof and is protected by a protective film 2. The simultaneous formation of the hologram with the same process for producing the information tracks is enabled by such constitution and, therefore, the cost is reduced and the large-area hologram effectively utilizing the surface area is formed.
