PURPOSE: To make respective generated sound volume envelopes not so different in entire shape even when specified pitches are different from one another by increasing or decreasing a sound volume envelope control value each time an envelope alteration signal is outputted according to the count output obtained by counting cycles of musical sound waveform data. CONSTITUTION: An envelope alteration timing selecting means outputs the envelope alteration signal in every different number of cycles detected on the basis of the count output from a cycle number counting means 18 which counts cycles of musical sound waveform data according to pitch data. Each time this envelope alteration signal is outputted, the sound volume envelope control value outputted by an envelope control value output means is increased or decreased to increase or decrease the sound volume level of musical sound waveform data read out of a musical sound waveform storage means 105, and at the same time, a sound volume envelope control means performs envelope control. Consequently, even when specified pitches are different from each other, respective generated sound volume envelopes are made not so different in entire shape. |
