PURPOSE:To improve the processing efficiency of a data processing system by adding on to the object program of the object part corresponding to the added source step when the part adding of the object program is executed. CONSTITUTION:The title system is provided with a source object corresponding table 4 to store the correspondence with a relative address in an object program 2, a source object correspondence informing means 31 to inform of the information to which source the object prepared by a compiler 3 corresponds, an object program writing means 32 in the compiler 3 and an object program reading means 33. An addition instructing means 5 is provided together with an object program updating means 6 to copy the head object step to a next usable area, rewrite to the branch instruction of the object step of the next usable area and prepare the branch instruction. Thus, in order to add the source step, the resources of a data processing system are not suppressed.
