PURPOSE:To realize a wide printing range and a simple structure, by a method wherein a pin belt is rotated by a drive pulley and a belt wind-up member having a large diameter portion and a small diameter portion. CONSTITUTION:When a fan fold paper 30 is used in such a way as to be forced under a platen 1, a shaft 24 is fitted into a hole 18. In this condition, a small diameter portion 17 of a belt wind-up member 11 is faced to a dot printer head 29 as well as a large diameter portion 16 is faced to a paper pan 31 which is disposed downward. Therefore, at the portion of a pin belt 13 opposed to the paper pan 31, the pin belt 13 is matched to the extended outer circumferential surface of the platen 1, thus carrying the fan fold paper 30 by pins 12. But, at the portion of the pin belt 13 opposed to the dot printer head 29, the pin belt 13 is separated from the extended outer circumferential surface of the platen 1. In this manner, the dot printer head 29 can be shifted to or outside the position opposed to the pin belt 13, which enables the printing range to extend as long as the full length of the platen 1. |
