PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid crystal display element of long life and high display quality by forming a transparent conductive film for static electricity shielding in a glass substrate side and a transparent insulating film in a transparent conductive film electrode for display side between inside of upper and lower glass substrates and the transparent conductive film electrode for display. CONSTITUTION:Transparent conductive films 2 for static electricity shielding are formed on the whole surface of the display section of glass substrates 1, and transparent insulating films 3 are formed on the whole surface excepting those places which conducts upper and lower transparent films 2 for shielding static electricity. Transparent conductive films are formed on the inner face of transparent insulating films 3, and transparent conductive film electrodes 4 for display are formed by pattern etching process. At the time of pattern etching, terminals for outside connection of transparent conductive films for shielding static electricity are also formed simultaneously. A conductive member 5 between transparent conductive films 2 for shielding static electricity inside of upper and lower glass substrates 1 is also formed using conductive paste. |
