PURPOSE:To improve corrosion resistance and mechanical strength while to contrive light-weight and high hardening by a method wherein carbon fine powder is combined with a specific binder and high shearing force is added to an evenly mixed and dispersed combined composite to be sufficiently kneaded for being extruded to be molded into a rod shape and said molded substance is given insoluble and infusible treatment for being fired in an inert atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:A combined composite, in which a binder mainly composed of a monomer or an initial condensate of furan resin and chlorine-containing vinyl resin and to be carbonized after firing is combined with carbon powder for being evenly mixed and dispersed, is given high shearing force to be sufficiently kneaded and extruded for being molded in a rod shape. Then, said molded substance is given insoluble and infusible treatment for being fired in an inert atmosphere. Thereby, a lead wire with little electric resistance, excellent in corrosion resistance to an electrolyte of a fuel cell and light-weight, further having large surface hardness for being excellent in wear-proofness with large mechanical strength can be obtained. |
