PURPOSE:To permit stable discharge to take place by a method in which the electrode face of a multi-stylus head is contacted with a screening part isolately from latent image carriers facing each other with a fine aperture through a strip spacer by the rotation of the holder. CONSTITUTION:During the recording period, the drum 12 of latent image carriers is turned in the direction of A, and a head 11 pressed by a spring 16 keeps a necessary discharge aperture (DELTAd) constant through a strip spacer 19 wound up around a winding shaft 17 and moved. On the other hand, during non-recording period, a plunger 25 is turned OFF, a supporting plate 20 to hold the head 11 is turned to a place where it is contacted with a cleaning part 24 by a spring 25 to clean the electrode face 11a, and the electrode face 11a is protected from the adhesion of dust, etc. Also, when usable state is returned, when the head 11 comes near the drum 12, the tape 19 becomes a damper to lessen the degree of impaction. Thus, the aperture (DELTAd) can be scrued, the electrode face can be cleaned and protected from damage, and therefore, stable discharge can always be ensured. |
